On Saturday, February 22, police in Odessa apprehended a man who inflicted bodily harm on a member of the Military Commissariat.
This information was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
It is noted that the incident occurred today on Italian Boulevard.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a conflict arose between a 28-year-old resident of the Berezovsky district and military personnel during a document check. The man sprayed tear gas in the face of one of the soldiers and fired several shots in his direction from what is believed to be a non-lethal weapon before fleeing the scene.
The injured individual was transported to a medical facility. The offender was apprehended by operatives from the local police department. The man has been handed over to the SBU investigators.
