In Mykolaiv, a "Chery" vehicle struck a 10-year-old girl.

On Monday, January 20, around 12:00 PM, a Chery QQ car struck a child on Pogranichnaya Street in Mykolaiv.

This information was reported by the communication department of the Mykolaiv region police.

The vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old woman, hit a 10-year-old girl who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

As a result of the accident, the young victim was hospitalized with injuries from the scene.

Currently, police are investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators have classified the event as a criminal offense under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by individuals managing vehicles."

"The transport crime investigation department requests that any citizens with information regarding the circumstances of the accident contact us at 098 351 03 55 or 102," law enforcement officials urge.
