In the forest of Mikhailo-Larino village, poachers are actively operating — they have dug a huge pit for sand extraction using a tractor.

This was reported by Dmitry Ryabchenko, a freelance inspector of the Environmental Inspection in the southwestern district.

On his Facebook page, he posted a video from the site of the illegal sand extraction — according to him, the pines growing at the edge of the pit are already falling down.

- Thousands of tons of sand have been removed, and there are signs of fresh excavations. Oak trees used to grow here, and trees are being uprooted with their roots, - Dmitry explained.

Today, eco-inspectors were on-site — they detained a vehicle carrying sand right there.
