Municipal Enterprise "Mykolaivpastrans" announced new bus routes in the city
The head of Municipal Enterprise "Mykolaivpastrans," Dmytro Teslenko, discussed the potential new bus routes that could be established in Mykolaiv.
He shared this information during a briefing that took place on Tuesday, January 21.
Dmytro Teslenko emphasized that before municipal buses can operate on new routes, the proposal must be approved by the Mykolaiv City Council, and a company must be selected to service these routes.
- The municipal enterprise "Mykolaivpastrans" does not choose routes for itself, so I want to clarify for our residents to understand – this is a specific period of work. Initially, this is handled by the Transport Department of the Mykolaiv City Council, then the relevant project is submitted for a vote in the executive committee for route approval. After that, a project is developed and submitted again to the executive committee for the establishment of the carrier, and if the executive committee designates the municipal enterprise "Mykolaivpastrans" as the carrier, we will then begin to service the route. We can advocate on our part, as was the case with Varvarivka, where there were numerous requests from residents who collected signatures. We also made a petition to the Transport Department in support of extending the route to Varvarivka, - explained the head of the enterprise.
According to him, discussions are currently underway regarding the establishment of several new bus routes to remote areas of the city.
- At the moment, we are considering a route to Rakietne Urichysche and to Bolshaya Koreniha. These are remote areas, - Dmytro Teslenko concluded.
As previously reported, by the end of 2025, the municipal enterprise "Mykolaivpastrans" will receive new buses through a credit program.
