Trump's team claims that there is only a week left until the war in Ukraine concludes.
U.S. President Donald Trump is confident that he will be able to reach an agreement to end the Russian-Ukrainian war within the next week.
This was stated to reporters by White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, as reported by The Hill.
"The President and his team are very focused on continuing negotiations with both sides of this war to bring the conflict to an end, and the President is very confident that we can achieve this within the week," Levitt said.
According to her, National Security Advisor Matt Waltz will be working on the agreement "around the clock" this weekend.
Levitt also emphasized that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent participated in discussions with the Ukrainian side regarding the proposed mining agreement.
"When it comes to critical minerals, this is a significant aspect for the President. It is very important for the President because it will help restore American tax revenues. Additionally, it will create a substantial economic partnership between the United States and the Ukrainian people, who are rebuilding their country after this brutal war," Levitt highlighted.
