The management of KP "Mykolaivelectrotrans" plans to complete the construction of a trolleybus line in the Ship District by 2025.

This was announced by the head of the enterprise, Yuriy Smetana, during a briefing held on Friday, February 22.

The management intends to finish the trolleybus line construction along Bohoyavlensky Avenue from Avangardna Street to the Shyrokobal'sky Bridge by 2025. According to Yuriy Smetana, this project is currently only at the initial stage of implementation. It should be noted that before the start of the full-scale invasion, the contractor installed supports for the contact network along Bohoyavlensky Avenue.

At present, a project for the construction of the facility is being developed, and its approximate cost is estimated at 37 million hryvnias. However, Yuriy Smetana mentioned that they plan to carry out the work "by their own means" to save funds. Therefore, they expect to reduce expenses to 12-13 million hryvnias.

- We are creating a project because this is a facility of increased danger, and we cannot even begin this work on our own without a project, without undergoing expertise, and without permission to carry out construction work. Just yesterday, we received the design and estimate documentation from the designer, who calculated that this facility will cost 37 million hryvnias. But this is the projected amount; we will perform the work ourselves. According to preliminary calculations, this work will cost the KP approximately 12-13 million hryvnias. This money will be spent on materials and salaries. Because we will carry out this work on our own, without involving contractors, - said the head of the KP.

In addition, Yuriy Smetana added that this year they plan to complete the construction of a charging station for trolleybuses with autonomous operation in the Ship District. He stated that currently, work has been suspended due to the cold weather.

- Due to the cold, work has been halted, but we have already started setting up the dispatch point for the charging station on Aivazovsky Street in the Ship District. This will allow us, as Mayor Oleksandr Senkevich declared, to launch an internal trolleybus route, - concluded the head of the enterprise.
