The electricity tariff will decrease for some Ukrainians

Some Ukrainians will be able to pay less for electricity during the heating season. The base tariff will remain unchanged at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour, according to the Ministry of Energy.

Homeowners with electric heating systems and those living in non-gasified residences will benefit from a reduced tariff of 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour for the first 2,000 kWh. Any consumption beyond this limit will be charged at the standard rate of 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.

Examples of calculations:

• For a consumption of 1,800 kWh, the entire amount is charged at the reduced rate of 2.64 UAH/kWh.
• For a consumption of 2,500 kWh, the first 2,000 kWh are charged at 2.64 UAH/kWh, while the remaining 500 kWh are charged at 4.32 UAH/kWh.
