A resident of Mykolaiv expressed concerns about the instability of the new benches that were installed in the park in the city center.
Anatoliy Kupriyevich reported this to the Contact Center of the Mykolaiv City Council.
According to him, on Thursday, December 19, he and his wife visited the Chestnut Park, where the statue of Saint Nicholas stands, while strolling through the city center. There, they found new beautiful and modern benches on which the couple wanted to sit. However, when they sat down on one bench, it tipped over, causing both the man and woman to fall hard on their backs and heads.
“In the park for retirees, new beautiful benches were installed in the center of Mykolaiv, which are very treacherous and unstable. On December 19, around 4:00 PM, my wife and I were walking through the city center. We decided to sit on a new bench. When I tried to lean back, the bench suddenly tipped over sharply, and we fell backward, hitting our backs and heads hard. Our mood was completely ruined. Our backs and heads hurt. My back hurts a lot; I can neither lie down nor get up! This treacherous bench,” the message states.
It is worth noting that similar benches have been installed along the boulevard part of Central Avenue.
