Why servicemen from Mykolaiv are choosing to leave for SOCH (video)

How many servicemen in Mykolaiv region have taken the opportunity to return to service, and what prompted them to leave their unit without permission (SOCH).

This topic is discussed in a report by TSN.

According to Dmitry Alekseenko, an investigator from the territorial office of the State Bureau of Investigation in Mykolaiv region, most servicemen who returned after SOCH will be assigned to different military units. Many of them decide to leave without permission due to conflicts with their commanders or within their unit. This allows the military personnel to start anew and realize their potential.

- We do not return servicemen to the unit they left. There is already a conflict between the unit and the commanders. This is a new place of service, a new opportunity for servicemen to realize themselves and close their criminal case while continuing their service, - the investigator explained.

As journalist Artem Zaskalny, a native of Kirovohrad region who voluntarily reported to the TCC on the first day of the full-scale invasion, shared, he lost trust in his commander after being injured. Therefore, he and his comrades decided to leave their place of service. He notes that he is willing to return to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but only in a different brigade.

However, there are cases when servicemen wish to return to the unit where they previously served. For instance, senior sailor Vladimir Apostolov left for SOCH because his commander did not allow him to be present at the birth of his son. Now he has the opportunity to return to service.

- I left for SOCH to be with my son, - the man said.

In the past few weeks, 500 servicemen who had gone to SOCH in Mykolaiv region decided to take the opportunity to return to service.

- To do this, one needs to contact one of the departments of the State Bureau of Investigation, the police, or the prosecutor's office. Upon arrival at the military unit, the commander enrolls the serviceman in the personnel roster within 72 hours and resumes their financial support. Additionally, all social guarantees provided by law are restored for this serviceman, - said Andrey Klepov, head of the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Southern region.
