The head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kim, expressed the opinion that people who constantly live under shelling perceive danger differently — their sense of it becomes dulled. Despite this, the main task is to create the safest possible conditions for the life and work of citizens.

In an interview with “Ukrinform,” the regional leader spoke about his visit to Ochakiv last summer.

- People perceive the level of danger in various ways. I was in Ochakiv last year. Shelling began, and they were sitting on the beach under an umbrella drinking beer with nuts... But our task is to ensure people's safety if there is an opportunity to work (during the resort season — ed.), - Kim said.
