Mykolaiv ranks among the cities where municipal councils have purchased the highest number of vehicles.

Mykolaiv has made it to the list of cities where municipal councils purchased the most vehicles.

In Ukraine, a study was conducted to determine how many vehicles municipal councils acquired in 2024. Out of 100 cities surveyed, 50 municipal councils (only 115 purchasers) bought non-specialized vehicles using budget funds in 2024. This involved 640 purchases totaling over 756 million UAH.

This figure does not include special vehicles, such as ambulances, municipal special equipment (snowplows, garbage trucks), etc. For comparison, the largest purchaser – the National Police and its structural subdivisions – acquired nearly 1.8 thousand vehicles for 2.2 billion UAH.

Among municipal councils, the most vehicles were purchased by Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Lutsk.

In total, 8.1 billion UAH was spent on vehicle purchases through Prozorro last year. For the first time since the onset of the full-scale invasion, the number of passenger cars purchased for the Armed Forces exceeded the number of vehicles for civilian needs.

Mykolaiv also made the ranking, coming in at 14th place. The municipal council purchased 9 vehicles for 10.4 million UAH.
