In Mykolaiv region, a drunken man attacked a woman with a knife: the victim is in the hospital, the perpetrator is in custody
In Mykolaiv region, a court has imposed a non-alternative measure of detention on a previously convicted 40-year-old man, suspected of causing serious bodily harm (part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This information is reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, on December 16, 2024, in the village of Ivano-Fedorivka, in the Mostovskyi OTG of the Voznesensk district, the suspect was consuming alcoholic beverages with a 56-year-old acquaintance. Subsequently, a quarrel ensued between them, during which the man stabbed the woman twice in the chest.
The victim sustained injuries including a penetrating stab wound to the left side of her chest and a cut wound to the left lumbar area. She is currently in the hospital.
The perpetrator faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
