Mobilization for those aged 18 and older is already underway in Ukraine, according to a member of parliament.

Ukrainian member of parliament Dmitry Razumkov stated that the country is essentially already mobilizing young men aged 18 to 25, while President Volodymyr Zelensky has not signed the law prohibiting this action.

Ukrainian MP Dmitry Razumkov stated that Ukraine is effectively mobilizing young men aged 18 to 25, while President Volodymyr Zelensky has not signed the law prohibiting this.

He made this statement during the broadcast of "News Factory."

The MP noted that currently, Ukraine is mobilizing those who are limited in fitness from 18 to 25 years old. Furthermore, the law passed by parliament that bans mobilization for this age group has yet to be signed by the president.

- Because President Zelensky either does not know or knows and is lying. Mobilization is currently happening for those aged 18. Firstly, it involves those who are limited in fitness and were previously registered, and they are now being mobilized – from ages 18 to 25. When the mobilization law was being considered, we did not vote for it. We managed to remove part of it because we wanted to implement mobilization for everyone starting at 18; there are videos to verify this. The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff acknowledged this. Unfortunately, we were unable to remove the mobilization for those limited in fitness. Unfortunately, the authorities had enough votes to pass it, and after a few months, parliament finally voted on the law prohibiting mobilization for those aged 18 to 25. Now, three months have passed, and Zelensky still has not signed this law. If he doesn’t know, he should watch our broadcast and ask his assistants why they haven’t presented this law for his signature and why mobilization is happening for 18-year-olds today, - said Dmitry Razumkov.

Additionally, he noted that starting September 1, students in higher education institutions will undergo military training from their first year. If a student is expelled, they will simply be mobilized.

- They will undergo basic military training in universities in their first year, and if, for instance, a person is expelled, they will be mobilized at 19 or 18 years old. Whether they will vote now to lower the mobilization age for everyone, I don’t know. It’s hard for me to answer that, - the MP remarked.

Moreover, Dmitry Razumkov pointed out that member of the defense committee of the Rada, Fedor Venislavsky, previously stated that teenagers at 17 should register for military service, or else they risk facing a fine. The MP emphasized that this law will encourage parents to take their underage children abroad.

- This is not just a matter of war; it’s about something else. We need to understand that these discussions are happening today. This means people are thinking about where to send their children aged 16 to 17. Plus, Venislavsky is saying that if a child does not register for military service at 17, they will have to pay a fine. I don’t quite understand how they will pay a fine? Any reasonable person listening to this today will ask: “Where are the children of all our colleagues in parliament and beyond?” They will take their child and send them to Poland at 16, - concluded Dmitry Razumkov.
