The power generation at the heating plant in Mykolaiv has been completely destroyed: Senkevich summarizes the day's events
The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevich, provided a brief summary of the day.
He reminded that during the night, the enemy struck our heating plant with several drones, leaving the heating plant's subscribers without heat.
“The power generation is entirely destroyed. We are currently trying to restore heating using alternative solutions to this problem.
Employees from both the heating plant and "Mykolaivoblteploenergo" are involved. Work is ongoing. Without going into details, it is indeed very challenging,” he wrote.
Additionally, during the day, municipal services were on-site to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
“Thanks to our cooperation with Denmark, we received modular boilers, which allowed us to maintain heating in hospitals!
Throughout the day, our municipal services were addressing the aftermath of the strikes in two districts. They were clearing the streets and boarding up windows for residents. The cleanup will continue tomorrow. I am grateful to every worker who contributed to the well-being of the citizens today,” he added.
One of the strikes hit the roadway of Central Avenue. It later became clear that it struck directly on the sewage collector. Specialists from "Mykolaivvodokanal" have begun repairs.
“Despite everything, we managed to launch a new trolleybus route to Matveevka, which has already been used by more than a thousand passengers. All municipal transport operated smoothly.
Work will continue tomorrow. Thank you for your patience. Remember that there is only one enemy — Russia. They have once again shown that they do not want peace,” he emphasized.
