The return of a legend: the revived Honda sports car has been showcased in official photos and videos.

Official photos of the sixth-generation Honda Prelude have been released. The production version of the revived coupe will be unveiled in January at the Tokyo auto show, with the model set to hit the European market in 2026. In the meantime, Honda has published photos and videos of the coupe on their website, along with some details about it.

The images reveal that the new Honda Prelude is nearly identical to the pre-production concept. The car features an elegant silhouette with a pronounced "nose," a curved roofline, and a slightly elevated rear end. The most noticeable difference in the production model is the absence of a rear spoiler.

The interior of the Honda Prelude 2026 has not been disclosed, but it is known that some components will be borrowed from the Civic model. This is not surprising, as both models are built on the same platform.

The Honda Civic shares its hybrid setup e:HEV with a 2.0-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors. In the Civic (as well as in the CR-V crossover), it produces 184 hp, but the power may be increased for the sporty model.

Additionally, it is noted that the new Honda Prelude 2026 will feature an eCVT transmission and a S+ Shift system that simulates gear changes.
