Ukrainian singer and producer of the National Selection for "Eurovision 2025," Tina Karol, commented on the situation surrounding one of the participants of the current National Selection for Eurovision, Nikita Leontyev, known as ENLEO. The artist expressed her opinion in a comment to Slava Demin.

The scandal arose after the singer admitted that he listens to Russian artists, particularly Oxxxymiron, despite the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Karol noted that she first became aware of this issue during an interview with Slava Demin. According to her, ENLEO did not violate the rules of the National Selection, as listening to Russian music is not grounds for disqualification.

However, from a moral standpoint, the singer described the artist's behavior as somewhat inappropriate. Karol pointed out that the rapper Oxxxymiron, whose work ENLEO admires, is recognized as a "foreign agent" in the Russian Federation and has supported Ukraine by donating to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, Nikita's playlists also included other Russian artists, such as LSP and Markul, which sparked outrage online.

"He hasn't technically broken any rules. But from a moral perspective, the situation raises questions. It triggers people, and it's normal for them to react. But the decision should be made by the organizing committee. In my opinion, ENLEO performed very strongly at the audition, and he has every chance of making it to the final," Karol commented.

The singer also reminded that since 2022, she has fully transitioned to performing songs in the Ukrainian language, although she sang in Russian even after 2014. Despite the criticism, ENLEO remains one of the contenders for participation in "Eurovision" and has Karol's support due to his musical potential.
