"Zelensky turned the situation into a fiasco; he should apologize to Trump," says Rubio (video).

According to the U.S. Secretary of State, Ukraine will not receive security guarantees until it reaches a peace agreement.
"Зеленский должен извиниться перед Трампом за провал дела", — заявил Рубио в видео.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky should apologize to U.S. President Donald Trump for the verbal altercation in the Oval Office. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Rubio urged Zelensky to "apologize for turning this matter into a fiasco for himself," after his meeting at the White House with Trump and Vice President JD Vance devolved into loud arguments.

"He shouldn't have gone there and become an antagonist," Rubio said.

He also questioned whether the Ukrainian leader truly desires peace in the war with Russia.

"When you start talking about this aggressively — and the president makes deals, he's made deals his whole life — you're not going to get people to the negotiating table. And so you begin to think that perhaps Zelensky doesn't want a peace agreement. He says he does, but maybe he doesn't," Rubio emphasized.

Additionally, the U.S. Secretary of State reported that Donald Trump stated that Ukraine would not be guaranteed security until a peace agreement is reached.

Recall that on February 28, a verbal altercation erupted between Zelensky and Trump, which led to the collapse of the signing of an agreement regarding rare earth minerals.

Following the scandal, The Washington Post published a report claiming that Trump may halt all military aid to Ukraine.
