Pensions in Ukraine: how payments have changed during the full-scale war.
Pension payments in Ukraine are indexed annually, which leads to a continuous increase in their amount.

Since the onset of the full-scale war, Ukraine has faced significant economic challenges. Nevertheless, payments to pensioners during this period have increased. The average pension in the country has risen by nearly 1,800 hryvnias, which is over 45%. This is stated in the article from the publication "On Pension."
In numerical terms, the average pension has changed as follows:
- as of January 1, 2022, the average pension in Ukraine was 3,991 hryvnias;
- as of January 1, 2025 – 5,789 hryvnias.
Despite a significant budget deficit, pensions for Ukrainians have been indexed annually:
- in 2022, pensions were indexed by 14%;
- in 2023 – 19.7%;
- in 2024 – 7.96%.
Indexation is also planned for 2025. However, the extent of the increase in payments is still unknown.
