Around midnight in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, explosions were heard: a Russian drone struck one of the buildings in the city center, igniting a fire. Subsequently, Evgeny Vasilenko, a representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, reported that the drone targeted a production and warehouse facility. This was reported by correspondents from "Suspilne" at the scene.
As a result of the attack, warehouses and production areas housing textile products and polyester raw materials caught fire. These facilities belonged to a local company that specializes in clothing manufacturing.
Emergency Service units arrived promptly at the scene: a total of eight teams and 45 rescuers worked to combat the fire, which was localized after an hour and a half. There were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the attack, as noted by Vasilenko. Local services are still engaged in mitigating the aftermath of the enemy strike.
Later, the regional prosecutor's representative, Dmytro Chubenko, commented on the strike, specifying that the attack on the city was carried out by Russians using "Shaheds" or "Geran" drones. Several of them were reported to be flying over the city, as monitoring channels had indicated earlier.
It is noteworthy that this marks the third time Russians have targeted civilian objects—warehouses and residential buildings in Kharkiv—using drones within the past week.
