The first images of the new affordable Mazda crossover have been revealed.

Mazda is preparing an affordable compact crossover. The first images of the model were revealed during a presentation in Thailand, as this country will be one of the locations for the model's production. This was reported on the Carscoops website.

The sketches reveal that the compact Mazda crossover features a dynamic silhouette with an arching roof, short body overhangs, and a high window line. The signature Mazda grille pairs well with slim headlights, and the wheel arches are pronounced.

Currently, there is limited information about the model; the presentation only noted that it will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain. However, it's worth mentioning that despite some similarities to the upcoming Mazda CX-5 third generation, which was recently spotted during testing, this vehicle is distinct. It is significantly smaller in size.

According to one theory, the renderings depict a successor to the Mazda CX-3 or CX-30. Alternatively, it may be a completely new subcompact model, the Mazda CX-20, which will be the smallest and most affordable crossover from the Japanese brand. In any case, the vehicle is expected to be relatively inexpensive.

It was previously announced that the Mazda CX-5 will have an electric alternative — a crossover with a range of 500 km.
