"No front line": an expert explains how the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back superior Russian forces in the Kursk region.

According to Yevgeny Diky, in the Kursk region, approximately 12,000 Ukrainian soldiers are holding back 60,000 Russians and around 8,000 North Korean troops.
"Нет фронтовой линии": эксперт рассказал, как украинские войска сдерживают численно превосходящие силы России в Курщине.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back significantly superior Russian forces in the Kursk region thanks to "maneuver warfare" and the absence of a distinct front line. This was stated by military expert Yevgeny Diky during a broadcast on "Novosti.LIVE".

"The Russians have realized that frontal assaults yield little aside from massive losses. Frontal attacks in Kursk, unlike in Donetsk, are ineffective. Our positions there are very strong, as we have managed to impose a type of warfare that is advantageous for us. It is not trench warfare at all. There is no front line like there is in Donbas. The warfare resembles what we saw at the beginning of 2022 in Kyiv and Chernihiv, characterized by high maneuverability in wooded areas," Diky explained.

He clarified that in the Kursk region, there are vast so-called "gray zones" — distinct fortified points between which military units are actively moving. It is precisely in such maneuver warfare that the Armed Forces of Ukraine excel.

"The quality of both soldiers and commanders is crucial, allowing us to compensate quality for quantity. We constantly allow the occupiers to advance in this direction, after which we strike them in the rear, just as we 'cut' them at the beginning of the war in the Kyiv region," the expert noted.

According to Diky, the number of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk direction is around 10,000 to 12,000 soldiers, who are able to hold back 5 to 7 times more enemy troops.

"They are holding back 60,000 orcs, plus eight thousand Koreans, which gives us a rough ratio of 1 to 7, a ratio that works in our favor. In such warfare, we are strong," Diky emphasized.

Recall that the fighters of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed all units of the North Korean troops that were within the brigade's area of responsibility in the Kursk direction.
