In Ukraine, there are a number of benefits available for pensioners, including a full discount on housing and utility payments. This is mentioned in a statement from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Some pensioners in Ukraine are exempt from paying for utility services. This applies to residents of rural areas who worked in the fields of culture, medicine, or education before retirement and continue to live in these areas. Additionally, pensioners can receive financial support from the state amounting to 1000 UAH for subscriptions to printed publications.

We also remind you about the right to free travel for pensioners. Citizens can travel completely free of charge by presenting their pension certificate:

on public city transport (except for the metro, taxis, and minivans);
on suburban train routes.

Older Ukrainians can receive legal assistance for free or at a discounted rate. This applies to pensioners whose pension is less than 4722 UAH or less than 6056 UAH for individuals with disabilities.

We remind you that in 2025, a new phase of the pension reform will come into effect, which concerns the funded pension: analysts have explained the potential dangers for citizens. At the same time, the insurance period is increasing, which a person must earn to qualify for old-age pension.

Previously, the Pension Fund reported that starting in January, pensioners will be able to receive an increased pension. However, this does not apply to everyone.
