Ukrainians are entitled to an increase in their pension upon reaching a certain age. Payments are expected for individuals starting from 70 years old. This is stated in the Ukrainian law "On Pension Provision."
The amount of the age supplement depends on the individual's age, specifically:
No additional application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine is required for the supplement. The increase is assigned automatically based on information from the PFU. However, not all pensioners are eligible for the supplement, as it is not available to those whose pension exceeds 10,340.35 hryvnias.
Ukrainians will receive their first payment the month following the attainment of the specified age. Additionally, the amount will be proportional to the number of days since the person's birth.
It is worth noting that in March 2025, a 10% pension indexation is anticipated, although the exact amount will be determined in February. Those who retired in the last few years should not expect an increase in their pension payments, as their calculations are considered current. The minimum additional payment will be 100 hryvnias, while the maximum will be 1,500 hryvnias.
Previously, it was reported that the Pension Fund may reclaim payments from certain pensioners. This will be due to a range of circumstances.
