In Rivne region, a teacher assaulted a student, but the victim's mother has decided to drop the charges.

In one of the educational institutions of the Varash district in the Rivne region, a teacher beat a student. This incident was reported by the local channel VOLOD BLOG.

In a video published online, a man is seen yelling at the child and hitting him several times in the head area.

It is noted that the incident occurred at a school in the village of Mulchyntsi. The student, as reported, is a ward of a children's home and allegedly behaved provocatively in front of the adult.

Local authorities' reaction to the assault

The head of the education department of the Varash city council, Elena Koren, responded to the incident, stating that the teacher will be held accountable and dismissed.

"The police officer working at the institution reported this unacceptable incident to the police. Meanwhile, an internal investigation is being conducted at the educational establishment," the official stated.

Alexander Koval, the head of the Rivne regional military administration, noted that the education department has been instructed to investigate all circumstances surrounding this unacceptable situation.

"The school should be a safe space for students. A place for knowledge, not violence," the official emphasized, adding that he is personally monitoring the case and promised "more decisive conclusions" following the investigation.

For its part, the police registered the fact of a teacher assaulting an 8th-grade student from the local lyceum.

However, the mother of the injured boy reported via phone that she has no claims and does not wish to be a participant in the criminal process. The investigative department, despite the statement, is determining the legal qualification of the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier in the Bereznovsky district of the Rivne region, a physical education teacher beat a student with his feet. The incident occurred during a break between classes.

And in the Vinnytsia region, the director of Lukashevsky Lyceum struck a student several times on the legs with a stick. The 13-year-old student was expelled from geography class by the teacher and was hiding in the bushes near the school.
