Без участия Эрдогана и Орбана: раскрыты детали саммита по Украине в Лондоне и список ожидаемых участников.

On Sunday, March 2, a summit of European leaders will take place in the capital of the United Kingdom — London, providing an opportunity to advance towards a "fair and sustainable world in Ukraine." This is stated in a declaration from the British government.

"This weekend, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his unwavering support for Ukraine and his determination to find a way forward that will put an end to Russia's illegal war and ensure a lasting peace for Ukraine based on sovereignty and security," the statement reads.

The declaration also lists the leaders expected to attend the summit:

  • Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni;
  • President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky;
  • President of France Emmanuel Macron;
  • Germany;
  • Denmark;
  • The Netherlands;
  • Norway;
  • Poland;
  • Spain;
  • Canada;
  • Finland;
  • Sweden;
  • Czech Republic;
  • Romania.

"The summit will also include the Foreign Minister of Turkey, the NATO Secretary General, and the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council," the British government noted.

Discussions at the summit will focus on:

  • strengthening Ukraine's position now — including continued military support and increased economic pressure on Russia;
  • the need for a robust long-term agreement that will ensure lasting peace in Ukraine and guarantee that Ukraine can deter and defend against future Russian attacks;
  • next steps in planning strong security guarantees.

"The United Kingdom has already made it clear that it is ready to support Ukraine's future security with its troops on the ground," the British government emphasized.

Recall that on March 1, Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in London, where he will attend the Europe summit.

On the same day, Zelensky met with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
