The 1984 Peugeot Quasar coupe has received a modern successor. The new version of the concept was designed by the team at the French brand. This was reported by L'Argus.
The new Peugeot Quasar was created by a team of stylists led by the brand's chief designer, Matthias Hossann. The project is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the original Quasar. Currently, the car exists only in images, and it remains uncertain whether it will be brought to life in metal.
0The contemporary Peugeot Quasar closely resembles its 40-year-old predecessor, which at the time set the course for the brand's design for decades to come. Both cars feature a streamlined silhouette with a rear wing. The new coupe retains the panoramic windshield and "guillotine" doors.
Additionally, the new Peugeot Quasar is equipped with modern LED lighting, large alloy wheels with improved aerodynamics, and wide tires.
1 2The interior of the Peugeot Quasar has not been revealed, but details about its engine have been disclosed. The coupe is powered by a 600-horsepower V6 engine. Notably, the engine is complemented by a sports exhaust and is not covered by a hood, just like the 1984 model.
