Ukrainian drone reconnaissance units, in conjunction with rocket artillery, eliminated the crew of the Russian military's reconnaissance drone "Orlan." This was reported on Thursday, January 30, by the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia."
The reconnaissance team of the 14th Drone Aviation Regiment detected a ground control station for the Russian drones. The soldiers struck the enemy equipment with a missile.
“In cooperation with rocket artillery, they hunted down the crew of the reconnaissance UAV “Orlan.” The reconnaissance team of the 14th Drone Aviation Regiment identified the drone control station and adjusted a successful missile strike,” the report states.
“Orlan” is a Russian multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicle designed for surveillance of extensive and local targets in hard-to-reach areas.
Recall that on January 26, the Defense Forces struck enemy storage depots for attack drones in the Oryol region of Russia.
And on the night of Wednesday, January 29, at least 29 drones attacked the Tver region. The UAVs hit an ammunition storage facility and an oil pumping station.
