Not all dishes are prepared quickly and easily; sometimes this depends on the complexity of the cooking process or the characteristics of the ingredients. One such challenging ingredient is beetroot. UNIAN explains how to cook it quickly and without unnecessary difficulties.
Set the microwave power to maximum.
Wash and peel the beetroot, then place it on a plate. If it's large, cut it into several equal pieces to ensure even cooking.
Place the beetroot on the plate, pour in a little water (about a third), poke it with a fork or toothpick in several places, then cover it with a plastic bag and put it in the microwave.
Set the timer for 10 minutes and start the microwave, checking the process every 3-4 minutes by opening the door.
Wash and peel the beetroot.
Cut large roots into equal pieces so that they are uniform in size, allowing for even cooking.
Place the beetroot in the multicooker-pressure cooker.
Select the "Stew" or "Soup" mode. Add water until the beetroot is submerged halfway and start cooking.
Wash and peel the beetroot, then place it on a plate. If the root vegetable is large, cut it into several equal pieces as well.
Next, after placing the beetroot on the plate, pour water over it to a third and poke it in several places with a fork or toothpick.
Set the timer for 10 minutes at maximum power, start cooking, and check every 3-4 minutes. If the beetroot is still raw after the cycle ends, put it in the microwave for a few more minutes.
