All funds from paid parking in Mykolaiv will be allocated to support the army.
In Mykolaiv, efforts continue to organize paid parking spaces for vehicles. On Friday, January 30, during the next session of the city council, deputies approved the new version of the Regulation on the collection for parking spaces.
The city council deputies supported the draft decision.
The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, proposed that all funds from future paid parking be directed to support the army.
Colleagues, let's ensure that all the money collected from parking fees goes to support the army. This makes sense. We provide public transport for the city's residents, increasing its quantity and comfort, and organizing new routes. Meanwhile, those who use their own vehicles, including myself, occupy space in the city for parking and should pay for it. Once parking spaces are available, we will direct every kopeck toward drones, weapons, security, and medical supplies for our military until the end of martial law,” said the mayor.
The mayor added that this will not be the only source of support for our military, but an additional one.
