Великобритания совместно с Францией и Украиной разработает мирный план.

The United Kingdom, France, and Ukraine will collaborate on a joint peace plan, reported on Sunday, March 2, by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, according to the Guardian. He stated that the plan will eventually be presented to the United States.

The British Prime Minister explained that the agreements to create a peace plan were reached after discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It’s worth noting that on March 1, the Ukrainian president arrived in London for a summit of EU countries after leaving Washington early following a dispute with U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Keir Starmer, "one or two more countries" might join the peace plan. Once the plan is prepared, it will be presented to the U.S.

"I believe we have taken a step in the right direction,” said Starmer.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom expressed confidence that U.S. President Donald Trump wants to see lasting peace in Ukraine despite his rhetoric and attitude towards Zelensky. He mentioned that security guarantees from the U.S. are a subject of "intensive" discussion. Starmer acknowledged that Trump had not committed to guaranteeing U.S. security for European forces in Ukraine but noted that the UK and the U.S. continue negotiations on this matter.

Keir Starmer emphasized that he "does not trust" Vladimir Putin and that the Russians "will come again" if given the opportunity. On the other hand, the British Prime Minister expressed trust in Zelensky and Trump. Observing the dispute between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, Starmer admitted he felt "uncomfortable."

It’s important to remember that during a press interaction, a dispute occurred between Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump, and Vice President Pence, during which the American side stated that Ukraine "should be grateful" and agree to a ceasefire. In response, Zelensky stated that "the U.S. should not dictate to Ukraine what to do."

Following this, the press conference was halted, and Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House prematurely. Donald Trump issued a statement on his social media platform Truth Social, accusing Volodymyr Zelensky of "unreadiness for peace." Trump also wrote that the Ukrainian president "showed disrespect." A deal concerning rare earth minerals in Ukraine was reported to have fallen through, according to correspondents at the scene.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that the day before, Starmer along with Zelensky participated in signing an agreement to provide Ukraine with a loan of $3.2 billion for defense needs. The loan will be repaid from future profits from frozen Russian assets.
