The Ivano-Frankivsk City Court has found Marjan Tatarchuk, a resident of the village of Krykhivtsi, guilty of accessing and storing child pornography on his computer. For his actions, the previously convicted individual has been sentenced to three years of probation supervision.
As stated in the court ruling issued on November 20, between 2021 and 2024, Marjan Tatarchuk downloaded dozens of photos and videos containing child pornography and stored them on his desktop computer for personal viewing, without the intent to sell or distribute.
During the preparatory hearing on October 17, the individual from Prykarpattia entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor, acknowledging his guilt. The court also noted that the defendant is not under the care of a narcologist or psychiatrist.
After reviewing all the case materials, Judge Ivanna Kovalyuk found Marjan Tatarchuk guilty of accessing and storing child pornography, imposing a three-year probation supervision sentence, during which he is prohibited from engaging in activities related to the education, upbringing, and leisure of children, as well as holding positions involving work with individuals under the age of 18.
