On Saturday, February 1, a suspected drug dealer from Lviv, Oleg Wagner, was detained in the center of Uzhhorod. The information about the arrest was disclosed the same day by Uzhhorod City Council member Vitaliy Hlahola via Telegram. However, as of the evening of February 2, there have been no official statements from law enforcement regarding this matter.
The arrest, as seen in a video from Vitaliy Hlahola's channel, took place at Shandor Petefi Square around 3:00 PM. Three police vehicles arrived and blocked the movement of a white BMW X6 parked near the Shtefanyo restaurant. Armed special forces pulled the driver and passengers from the BMW and forced them to lie on the ground.
According to Vitaliy Hlahola, among those detained is 39-year-old Lviv resident Oleg Wagner, who is suspected of selling drugs.
“Lviv resident Oleg Wagner, who was arrested in Uzhhorod while driving a white BMW, turned out to be a drug dealer. Sorted packets with drugs, presumably cocaine, were found in his car,” Hlahola reported, sharing several photos from the search.
The authorities seized 3 grams of a substance resembling cocaine and 10 ecstasy pills. Searches were also conducted at Oleg Wagner's residence, where more drugs were discovered.
The white BMW X6 with the license plate BC1111KO is registered to a 38-year-old woman with the last name Wagner. According to media reports, this refers to 38-year-old Iryna Wagner, an associate professor at the Department of Accounting Technologies and Taxation of the Economic Faculty at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. She was allegedly also in the car with Oleg Wagner.
Additionally, according to lviv.media, the car also contained 41-year-old former football player Mykhailo Kopolovets.
Mykhailo Kopolovets is a former player of Lviv's Karpaty football club and the Zakarpattia FC Mynai, known for his emotional interviews, with phrases from them becoming memes.
