"Ukrenergo" explained the reason for the introduction of emergency power outage schedules
On Monday, February 3, emergency power outage schedules were implemented in several regions of Ukraine. The need for energy conservation arose.
This was reported by "Ukrenergo".
According to "Ukrenergo," the systems for power transmission were damaged due to missile and drone attacks on generation facilities. As a result, emergency outages were applied in the morning in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk (partially), Cherkasy (partially), and Kyiv (partially) regions.
As of 8:30, the level of electricity consumption was 3.3% higher than on the previous working day - Friday, January 31. The reason for this increase was the drop in air temperature across most regions.
Yesterday, February 2, a daily peak in consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.2% lower than the peak of the previous Sunday - January 26.
"Today, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, there is a need for very economical electricity consumption. Please, if possible, refrain from using high-power electrical appliances during this period," noted "Ukrenergo."
