The DOU website for programmers, which covers IT news, has created a memorial project in honor of its fallen colleagues – Ukrainian IT specialists who lost their lives during the Russian-Ukrainian war, reports DEV.

The online IT community memorial features brief biographies of military personnel who previously worked in the IT sector, as well as civilian Ukrainians who died due to Russian shelling. Currently, there are details about 55 fallen individuals.

The site also includes a Google form where you can share information about deceased IT professionals who are not yet listed. This information will be used to continue the memorial project to honor their memory.

The DOU editorial team has been writing since 2022 about IT specialists who sacrificed their lives defending Ukraine or became victims of the Russians during the full-scale war. However, we feel the need to create a separate memorial project and ask for your assistance,” the publication's journalists urge.

Among the honored IT professionals at the memorial are portraits of residents from Lviv – Taras Chuchman, a developer at SoftServe and a fan of Lviv’s "Karpaty," who served in the Galician National Guard brigade; IT specialist and writer Viktoria Amelina, as well as SEO expert from Abto Software Yevheniya Bazylevych and her daughter Yaryna, who was a project manager.
