The High Anti-Corruption Court has granted the lawsuit of the Ministry of Justice regarding the seizure of assets from the Russian company "Tatneft" for the benefit of the state. The agency reported this on Thursday, February 27.
“The High Anti-Corruption Court has made a decision to satisfy the Ministry of Justice's lawsuit concerning the imposition of sanctions in the form of seizing the assets of PJSC 'Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin' – one of the largest Russian oil companies by extraction and processing volume,” the statement reads.
PJSC "Tatneft" is one of the largest industrial conglomerates in the field of extraction, processing, and sale of petroleum products in Russia. The company consistently pays significant taxes to the Russian budget and strengthens Russia's energy and economic potential.
The post adds that one of the key projects of the enterprise is the "TANEKO" oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk, which produces approximately 20 types of products, including aviation kerosene and diesel fuel.
The court imposed sanctions on "Tatneft" and seized corporate rights of the companies for the benefit of Ukraine, specifically:
“The companies own oil depots, gas stations, non-residential buildings, land plots, fuel trucks, and vehicles in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions,” the Ministry of Justice added.
It is noteworthy that on February 17, the High Anti-Corruption Court granted a lawsuit from the Ministry of Justice against the sanctioned Russian oligarch Mikhail Shelkov. The court's decision resulted in the seizure of the claim rights under a financial loan agreement belonging to companies controlled by the oligarch.
