In the heart of Mykolaiv, an unfinished flowerbed worth a million has turned into a dumping ground (photos).

On Sobornaya Street at the intersection with Shevchenko Street in Mykolaiv, the fence surrounding the area designated for the construction of a new flowerbed has been damaged, and the inside is filled with leaves and debris – it appears that the work has come to a halt.

This information comes from a correspondent of “Novosti-N”.

The deadline for the reconstruction work, according to the Prozorro system, is December 1. Notably, as of Tuesday, November 26, just five days before the contractor's deadline to complete the project, no reconstruction work is underway – the site is covered with stones, leaves, and trash.

In addition to various debris, there are also some abandoned construction materials on site, including steel grates for drainage systems. According to publicly available information online, the approximate price of one such grate is around 300 hryvnias, and all this “good stuff,” we should note, is municipal property lying unattended.

The mysterious fence on Sobornaya Street in Mykolaiv appeared in November. After local residents raised concerns, fearing that another illegal kiosk would be constructed in this area, it became known that a flowerbed reconstruction was planned. According to the Prozorro system, this reconstruction will cost 952,895.63 hryvnias and is being carried out by PP “NIKDOR-PLUS.”

As previously reported, on Sobornaya Street in Mykolaiv, where work on the flowerbed was commissioned by the Central District Administration, one of the trees was damaged. The contractor, while performing the dismantling, harmed a plane tree growing in the area by cutting its skeletal roots. For this violation, the company's director has been held accountable and fined under Article 153 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The damage caused to the green plantings amounts to 1,900 hryvnias.
