In several villages of the Mykolaiv region, residents have been advised to use water with caution: coliforms and other microbes have been detected.
An inspection was conducted in the territory of the Sukhoelanets rural council to assess the provision of quality drinking water to the population. Among the 3 business entities, 100% were found to be in violation of legislation regarding drinking water supply.
This was reported by the State Consumer Service in the Mykolaiv region.
Specialists collected 9 samples of drinking water from the settlements of Sukha Elanets, Diky Kutor (Suvorovka), Buhske, Novoshmitdovka, Stepne (Kirovka), Ulyanovka, Vorontsovka, Ostrovka, and Chervonovladimirovka.
According to the results of laboratory monitoring, non-compliance with the requirements of GSanPin 2.2.4-171-10 "Hygienic requirements for drinking water intended for human consumption" was established based on microbiological indicators: total coliforms, total microbial count, and for physicochemical indicators, exceedances in total hardness, chlorides, sulfate content, and dry residue.
"Residents of the aforementioned villages, please be cautious and careful when using water, and demand the results of water quality control from the local self-government body!" the service reported, noting that they have sent recommendations to government representatives.
