The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered a deputy from the Poltava Regional Council. He is suspected of orchestrating a contract killing of an entrepreneur.

This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to sources from RBK-Ukraine in law enforcement, the detained individual is Oleg Dyadik, a deputy from the "For the Future" party.

Investigators revealed that the deputy involved his driver in the criminal scheme. He promised his subordinate $20,000 for the elimination of the owner of a local agricultural company.

The SBU noted that the murder was planned to take place at a local abandoned pumping station. The deputy invited the entrepreneur there under the pretense of discussing business matters. The hitman was supposed to throw a noose around the victim's neck and strangle him, then stage the hanging of his victim.

The deputy intended to forge documents for the corporate rights of the businessman’s agricultural company to become a proxy.

The investigation established that, in preparation for the murder, the involved parties met in secret locations without surveillance cameras and communicated only "in person," avoiding any phone communication.

The SBU thwarted the murder and apprehended both suspects "in the act" as they were leading the businessman to the "meeting."

The deputy and the driver were charged under Part 2 of Article 15, Parts 2 and 3 of Article 27, and Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organization and complicity in the completed attempt of intentional murder).
