In Mykolaiv region, two collaborators were sentenced to prison in absentia

During a public prosecution by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found two residents of the Bashtanka district of Mykolaiv region guilty of collaborative activities (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

They were sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Additionally, they are prohibited from holding positions in state authorities, management, and local self-government for 15 years.

The prosecutors proved in court that the convicted individuals collaborated with the enemy in March 2022 and voluntarily led illegally established bodies of the occupying authorities. One of the women took on the role of the so-called "chairperson of the village council of Pavlivka in the Snihurivka district of Kherson region," while the other headed the "village council of Ivanokepino in the Snihurivka district of Kherson region."

In these pseudo-positions, the women carried out organizational, administrative, and economic functions.

In particular, they established cooperation with the occupying authorities of the region, compiled lists of individuals from vulnerable social groups, and gathered information about damaged property and residential houses for further transfer to the balance of the village council.

Moreover, they conducted propaganda among the local population, persuading them to collaborate with the occupying authorities of Russia.
