The Feast of St. Catherine, celebrated by Eastern Orthodox Christians on November 24 according to the new calendar, has its restrictions, reports UNIAN.
On this day, one should avoid heavy physical labor. Additionally, repairs and crafting activities are not allowed.
It is also forbidden to light bonfires or heat the stove, as otherwise, "life will become smoky."
Particular attention should be paid to diet since the holiday falls within the Christmas fast. On this day, consuming meat and dairy dishes is prohibited.
