Due to a Russian attack in Rivne region, electricity and water services have been disrupted.

Schools in Rivne and parts of the Rivne region have transitioned to remote learning.

On the morning of November 28, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine using strike drones and missiles. As a result of damage to a critical infrastructure facility in Rivne, 280,000 consumers were left without electricity and partially without water.

“In the region, over 280,000 subscribers are without electricity. There are interruptions in water supply. Schools in Rivne and parts of the Rivne district are transitioning to remote learning,”wrote in Telegram the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Koval.

Later, Oleksandr Koval published another post, clarifying that the enemy's target was an energy infrastructure facility. As a result of the enemy attacks, no one was injured, and rescuers are working to extinguish the fire.

“Currently, 681 populated areas are without electricity. Water supply is at reduced pressure in Rivne, as well as in the villages of Babyn, Horbakiv, Voskodavy, Chudnytsia, Illin, Dorohobuzh, Mnyshyn, Podolyany, Shkariv, and Horbiv.
Areas without water include Velyka Omelyana, Hrushtsivka, Novomylsk, Hoshcha, Malynivka, Syniv, Terentiyiv, Symoniv, and Franyivka,”
– noted Oleksandr Koval.

The air raid alert in Rivne region was announced at 05:17. Approximately an hour later, the first explosion was heard in Rivne, and at 08:26 – the second. There are also reports of explosions in the region.

Additionally, during the night and morning of November 28, energy infrastructure facilities were under attack by the Russians. Consequently, “Ukrenergo” implemented emergency power outages. Currently, explosions have been reported in Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, and Rivne.
