Ukraine and Bulgaria have signed an agreement to collaborate in the field of education.

The Ministers of Education and Science of Ukraine and Bulgaria have signed a new protocol for cooperation and exchanges. This was reported on January 7 by Oksen Lisovyi.

«The first international agreement in 2025. The document lays the groundwork for collaboration over the next four years across four areas», – stated the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The cooperation between the two countries includes:

• academic mobility for students and researchers;

• professional development and exchanges for teachers in Ukraine and Bulgaria;

• support for students belonging to national minorities and ensuring their right to study their native language at all educational levels in public secondary education institutions in Ukraine and Bulgaria;

• direct collaboration between higher education institutions in both countries within the frameworks of the "Erasmus+" and "Horizon Europe" programs, as well as other EU initiatives.

Oksen Lisovyi emphasized the importance of supporting the study of Ukrainian and Bulgarian languages, as well as deepening cooperation between educational institutions of the two countries.
