Ukraine is ready to provide the U.S. access to its minerals, - Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that one of the points in the Victory Plan is investments in mineral resources, hence Ukraine is open to cooperation with partners.
The head of state made this statement following a meeting with the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, on Tuesday, February 4.
"Indeed, one of our important economic points in the Victory Plan is investments, certainly, in Ukraine's mineral resources, of which we have plenty. You see that Russia has occupied our lands since 2014, and there were indeed significant volumes of our mineral resources there. We are open to the fact that all of this can be developed with our partners who help us defend our land and push the enemy back with their weapons, their presence, and sanction packages," - noted Zelensky..
The head of state mentioned that he discussed this issue in September during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
"I told him that we are open to American companies coming in for investments," – he added.
Additionally, the president highlighted that if Russia controls the mineral resources, there is a threat that "other countries, such as Iran and North Korea, will come in."
