Registration has commenced for the first state-run online school, Unbound Academy, in Arizona (USA), where the entire educational process will be conducted by artificial intelligence. This unique pedagogical approach was first tested in private schools in Texas and Florida. The new teaching method is discussed by “Osvitoria” referencing Edweek.
Unbound Academy will utilize platforms such as edtech, IXL, and Khan Academy. Students will engage with interactive AI-based platforms that continually adapt to their individual learning pace and style.
The founders emphasize that the artificial intelligence will adjust to each student: enhancing learning in areas where students excel and easing off when a student struggles with the material. The goal of this personalized approach is finely tuned customization: for example, allowing a 5th grader to read at an 8th-grade level while simultaneously mastering a 3rd-grade math curriculum.
Live educators at this institution will serve as mentors without teaching any specific subjects. Teachers will act as “qualified guides,” monitoring the progress of each student, while the academic curriculum will be delivered by artificial intelligence.
The distance learning school “Optima” invites you to a free webinar taking place online on January 8 at 7:00 PM. During this session, you will learn about exclusive educational materials for students in grades 1-11, learning opportunities for Ukrainian families abroad, scholarships, and international programs. This is a unique opportunity to provide your child with access to truly quality education!
Classes will last up to two hours a day. Students will spend the remaining time on “life skills seminars”:
Currently, the online school is aimed at students from 4th to 8th grade. In the future, the school’s administration plans to expand the program to include preschool and up to 3rd grade. In its first academic year, Unbound Academy aims to enroll approximately 200 students.
