An explosion occurred in the military enlistment office in Rivne, resulting in one death and several injuries.

On the afternoon of Saturday, February 1, an explosion occurred at the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in Rivne. According to preliminary reports, one person has died and six others have been injured, reports the police of Rivne region.

Law enforcement officials stated that the incident occurred today at 16:15.

“The investigative and operational group, SBU employees, and other emergency services are working at the scene. More detailed information will follow,” the statement reads.

Earlier, reporters from “Suspilne” reported that the explosion was heard near Hrabnyk Street. Security services have closed part of the road to pedestrians.

Journalists from “Radio Trek” inform that three ambulances have arrived at the scene of the incident. The explosion shattered windows in the TCK and SP building.

The press service of the Rivne regional TCK and SP, where the explosion occurred, reported that information about the injured and the cause of the explosion is being clarified. For safety reasons, the area around the site has been cordoned off.
