In Kherson, a city council ecologist was killed due to a Russian strike on a minibus.

On the evening of Monday, January 6, Russians once again attacked Kherson. The occupiers struck a minibus with a drone, resulting in the death of a man. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The incident occurred around 5:00 PM in the Shumensky microdistrict of Kherson. A 49-year-old man died at the scene. Six injured women aged 47, 55, 58, 51, 30, and 26 were hospitalized, all diagnosed with blast injuries. A 21-year-old Kherson resident was also taken to the hospital with a shrapnel wound to the leg and an explosive injury as a result of the attack.

According to the head of the city military administration, Roman Mrochkо, the deceased from the attack was Vladimir Shum, a specialist in the ecology department of the Kherson City Council.

“Vladimir Ivanovich Shum was a specialist in the ecology department of the municipal services and landscaping management of the Kherson City Council. Russian terrorists killed the only ecologist who was physically working in the Kherson community today,” – wrote Roman Mrochkо.

Additionally, according to the prosecutor's office, during the day, Russians attacked the village of Shyroka Balka with a drone. As a result of the bombing, a 48-year-old man who was outside was killed.

The prosecutor's office has initiated a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings regarding the commission of war crimes (part 1, part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Recall that on January 2, Russians also struck a minibus in Kherson. As a result of the attack, at least five people were injured and were hospitalized.
