In Burshtyn, the water tariff for residents has been doubled.

Starting January 1, 2025, residents of Burshtyn will pay 118.7 UAH for water supply and sewage services. The decision to increase the tariff was made during the meeting of the executive committee of the Burshtyn City Council on November 28.

As reported by the press service of the city hall, the water tariff has been increased due to rising electricity and fuel prices.

“Currently, the difference between the existing and economically justified tariff is covered by the city budget. According to the report from the director of the utility company “Zhytlovyk,” Zenoviy Shafran, the company incurred losses of nearly 1.5 million UAH in the first half of the year. This was the basis for reviewing the tariff, which has not changed since December 2021,” – stated the Burshtyn City Council.

The new tariffs will be: water supply – 62.59 UAH per cubic meter including VAT and sewage – 56.14 UAH per cubic meter including VAT, effective January 1, 2025. Previously, the tariff was 27.64 UAH for water supply and 28.84 UAH for sewage.

The members of the executive committee also approved a new garbage collection tariff in the Burshtyn community. It has increased from 30.56 UAH to 47.17 UAH per person per month.
