On Sunday, February 2, a fire broke out in a residential building in the village of Lavochne in the Striy region. The fire claimed the lives of a family of three, reports the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
The report about the fire was received at 03:43, and when the rescuers arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke hindering their efforts.
During the firefighting operation, rescuers discovered the bodies of three victims near the front door: a 91-year-old homeowner, her 66-year-old daughter, and a 69-year-old man.
The fire was localized at 5:27 and completely extinguished by 06:23. The flames nearly destroyed the entire house. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
