Суд арестовал перевозчика из Закарпатья за перепродажу автомобилей, заказанных клиентами из ЕС.

The Mukachevo City District Court found local entrepreneur Oleksandr Venchuk guilty of fraud and document forgery. For reselling cars that he was supposed to deliver to clients from the EU, the defendant was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

As stated in the court ruling issued on December 27, in August 2020, Oleksandr Venchuk received an order to deliver an Audi Q5 and a Dacia Sandero to Ukraine, which the victims had purchased from dealers in Belgium and Germany, respectively. The accused imported the cars from abroad and, by forging documents, sold them to other individuals, causing the victims over 400,000 UAH in damages.

During the trial, Oleksandr Venchuk denied his guilt, claiming that he did not import the cars from Europe; rather, it was his colleagues who handled the imports, registered the vehicles in their names, and put them up for sale.

The court reviewed extracts from the State Register of Legal Entities regarding document forgery related to property rights acquisition, reports from the Transcarpathian Customs, advertisements on the Auto.RIA website for the sale of the cars, and testimonies from the defendant's drivers. The latter stated that they delivered the Audi Q5 and Dacia Sandero to the Ukrainian border, where Oleksandr Venchuk picked them up.

After examining all the case materials, Judge Dmytro Zadorozhko found entrepreneur Oleksandr Venchuk from Mukachevo guilty of fraud and document forgery and sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment. The convicted individual is required to compensate the victims 382,000 UAH for the damages incurred. An appeal may be filed against the ruling.
