The name of the fighter who died in hand-to-hand combat with a Yakut has been revealed.

The "Carpathian Sich" battalion has released the name and photo of the soldier who died in hand-to-hand combat with a Yakut in Donetsk. A bloody video of this battle has circulated online. The fallen soldier is 30-year-old Dmytro Maslovskyi.

“The name of Dmytro Olegovych Maslovskyi, call sign ‘Kobra’, will forever be etched in the history of the Ukrainian people's struggle. His heroism is a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, and an unconquered spirit,” reported "Carpathian Sich".

In early January 2025, Russian propagandists circulated a bloody clip where a Ukrainian soldier was killed during hand-to-hand combat with a Yakut in the settlement of Trudove in Donetsk.

In the video, the Ukrainian fighter approaches a private house with an automatic rifle, and at one point, gunfire erupts from the building. A Russian stormtrooper appears in front of him, and a hand-to-hand fight ensues. At the end of the video, the Ukrainian warrior acknowledges that the opponent was better and asks to be allowed to die in peace.

It is known that Dmytro Maslovskyi, who died on November 17, 2024, near Trudove in Donetsk, was 30 years old. He was originally from the Lyubashivka community in Odesa region.
